Tears, according to a dictionary, are drops of the saline, watery fluid continually secreted by the lacrimal glands between the surface of the eye and the eyelid, serving to moisten and lubricate these parts and keep them clear of foreign particles. Besides that, they are much more. They are tiny drops of fluid filled with emotions, memories and feelings.
It is said that people who cry are weak. I strongly disagree to this statement. People who cry are the people with life in them. They have a way of expressing their feelings, their pain, their love and their regard in missing someone. It’s good to let the tears flow one in a while. It not only lowers the weights from out shoulders, its good for the eyes too. Tears are like the waters of a river and painful memories are like the ashes of the dead. Tears slowly wash away those ashes by flowing out once in a while. If the tears don’t flow, the ashes just pile up and dirty the waters. Tears are also a great companion. They know what you have been through, they know its hard for you to handle it, even at times when you can’t communicate your emotions to others, they understand you and ease you out at such times. Not just in your sorrow, tears accompany you even at times of joy. “Tears of joy” are the tears which express you when all other expressions fail to tell that how happy you are. One gets so happy that they run out of words and tears makes the statement. They stay in your eyes and shine like diamonds putting a glow on your face. Tears are also like some memory clips of unforgettable times. Memories play inside the head but it is previewed in the eyes in the form of tears. Tears are also sign of concern, faith, respect and honour. They say its good to be scared, it means you still got something to lose. When one is scared, they shed tears. It shows that they are concerned. When one trusts someone else with their precious things or feelings, they shed a tear to express their faith in them. When someone goes out of their way to make things possible for you, you shed a tear in order to show respect. Parents shed tears for their kids when their children do something that makes the parents head up high, those are the tears of honour.
Tears take form in different situations in suitable form. They are precious and are not for everyone. It is no shame to shed tears too. Ones who shed tears are the ones who live properly. They know what it is like to taste pure life.
